Reflective Portfolio Writing & Opioid Conversions Virtual Workshop 22nd September 2021

Eligible to attend: Registered Nurses, Doctors, Pharmacists, Health and Social Care professionals and Paramedics

Time:   09.00 – 13.00

This 4 hour virtual workshop is aimed at candidates studying on the distance learning “European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care ” Course. It focuses on the skills required to write a reflective portfolio on a clinical case and to calculate opioid conversions.

The content covered includes an overview of reflective practice, communication issues in End of Life Care, choosing the best case, identifying the key issues, searching the evidence, referencing and writing styles.

The Opioid Conversion component centres on the common calculations required when caring for an individual on opioid medications. This is also a key competency for candidates undertaking the 8 week distance learning palliative care course.
